RANCH HOUSE MODERN

Our wonderful clients, a young and active family of four, found their dream house in Menlo Park, and then found us to transform its spaces into their Home. A modern ranch house all on one level, we created a versatile aesthetic language in which the lofty indoor + outdoor hosting spaces take on a monochromatic sculptural style – while the private bedroom and office spaces on the perimeter of the house each have their own dramatic, eclectic signature.

In several of our bedroom spaces, our vision could not have come to life without the partnership of decorative artist Caroline Lizarraga. Custom furnishings, rugs (even one painted on the patio!), and wall finishes allowed us to bring to life both the rich story of this beautiful family, and also their vision for how they wanted to live at home. Practically speaking, we ensured that all items, however fabulous, would be safe and durable for a household with young kids – and we also renovated the primary bathroom, replacing the slippery floors with a marble mosaic tile, and finding a much lovelier bathtub.
